Gold Purity
Pure gold is traditionally described as 24 karat. Jewellery is often made in lower karats by combining gold with other metals to achieve the required colour, strength and working properties.
22K is approximately 91.6% gold, 21K approximately 87.5%, 18K 75%, and 14K approximately 58.5%.
